Inspired by the 2020 CSLP theme, Johnny Magic shares his own inspiring story of becoming a magician and encourages kids to be themselves and follow their dreams!
From a small town to the big stage
Johnny Magic grew up milking cows and calling shotgun to five siblings in southern Indiana. He loved visiting the library and reading, and magic books helped him get started as a magician!
After graduating the top (and only) student of his homeschool class and becoming an Eagle Scout, he studied communications at Anderson University.
He has attracted audiences from around the world, including appearances in Hawaii, Mexico, China, and Japan. He has also wowed sports celebrities such as Michael Strahan and Drew Brees.
In 2016, he produced Johnny Magic School, a video course complete with apps for kids to become magicians while also learning character values.
He recently represented Hoosiers by performing in Las Vegas on the TV show Penn and Teller: Fool Us!
